TOPIC: Integrating People, Process and Technology
This hour long seminar is focused on helping application development stakeholders understand how to develop "better, faster and therefore cheaper" application software. The discussion centers on ways to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the requirements development and management processes by integrating effective application development processes with skilled people using appropriate technology.
Seminar Objectives
· Understand the business need for improving requirements engineering effectiveness and efficiency.
· Understand why a structured requirements elicitation process is needed.
· Understand how requirements are derived by using effective elicitation techniques. Use case analysis is used as an example.
· Understand the role technology plays, and does not play, in the requirements elicitation and management processes.
· Understand that maturing an organization to increasing their requirements management effectiveness and efficiency is an evolutionary process, not a revolutionary process.
· Discuss immediate steps that should be undertaken to begin "Integrating People, Process and Technology".
Intended Audience
The primary audience for this seminar is application development stakeholders who desire an overview of how requirements management can be improved to help increase software development effectiveness and efficiency. These include executive sponsors, program/project managers, product champions/user representatives, requirements analysts, quality analysts and software designers/developers.
