Software Process Improvement Network is a concept of Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University. SPIN is comprised of individuals who want to improve software engineering practice. The individuals are organized into regional groups called "SPINs" that meet and share their experiences initiating and sustaining software process improvement programs. They meet annually at the Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG) Conference, which is co-sponsored by the SEI and a regional SPIN. The Greater Cincinnati area chapter of the Software Process Improvement Network, referred to as the Cincinnati SPIN, was established on February 19, 2004 as a non-profit organization. The organization meets the second Wednesday of every month from 4pm till 6pm except July, August and December. Mission The Cincinnati SPIN serves as a forum for representatives of companies, universities and government agencies throughout the Greater Cincinnati area to participate in sharing ideas, experiences and lessons learned in process improvement for software development, ongoing operations and support services. Objectives In carrying out its mission, the Cincinnati SPIN organization will act to accomplish the following objectives within the software community:
Steering Committee Cincinnati SPIN is run by a Steering Committee who are elected every year at the June meeting of Cincinnati SPIN. For the year 2008, the Steering Committee is comprised of the following individuals.
